About Kenard

Founder and Creative Director of Ken Tailor, Kenard Smith Jr. is a self-taught designer and tailor whose work explores the relationship between craftsmanship, individuality, and personal expression. His journey into fashion began not in a traditional design studio, but through curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to create. After discovering sewing in 2023, Kenard taught himself the foundations of garment construction through books, observation, and countless hours behind the machine. What began as curiosity quickly became a discipline, and ultimately the foundation of Ken Tailor, his independent fashion label. 

Kenard approaches every piece as both a garment and a canvas; bringing together tailoring, artistry, and an instinct for timeless design.
